An Icy Morning

Since Maggie didn't have school on Friday I took the girls to Mom and Dad's for the weekend. Saturday morning when we woke up this was what we saw out the kitchen window...

I had to go outside to get a picture and ended up taking over one hundred pictures. I don't think even one of them captures the real beauty of the scene.

This is the apricot tree in front of the house. I love how I could see each individual crystal of ice.

When I got to the end of the driveway and looked down the street I saw the neighbor's weeping willow trees. They were unbelievably pretty.

Across the field was a this country-winter-cabin-in-the-woods scene...
