Pageant Queens

For so long now Mandi has been watching Toddlers and Tiara's with her girls. She got me hooked! Her daughter, Sadie, has been perfecting her walk and developing her talent. My girls just sit in front of the TV and tell me they want to do that. I tell them they have to practice and know what they are doing before I would consider putting them in a pageant. Really I was just saying I don't think it's a good idea and we can't afford it!

Well...for some reason I decided to look up online to see if there was going to be a pageant in our area anytime soon. Little Miss Wyoming was going to have their preliminary pageant right here in Evanston...on Zoe's birthday! What better way to celebrate her birthday? She was so excited she could hardly stand it. I got in touch with Mandi and asked her what so thought about putting Sadie in it also. We decided to go ahead and do it. Hoping it would get the bug out of them and we could be done with it.

A couple of weeks before the scheduled date Mandi got onto the website and noticed that the date had changed. We were really bummed, but decided to go ahead with it anyway. Unfortunately for Sadie she had some discipline issues that prevented her from participating in the pageant. We were really sad that she wouldn't be a part of the fun, but they came up to watch Maggie and Zoe anyway.

Since the event was held in the basement of a hotel it was pretty dark and my camera didn't handle it well. I wasn't able to get very many good pictures. So here's how it went...

Maggie had one other girl in her age group. Maggie won most photogenic and prettiest hair. She was also the overall winner in her age group which makes her "Little Miss Uinta County".

I wasn't able to get a good shot of Zoe with her sashes, but she was the only one in her age group so she walked away with about seven titles and she is "Tot Little Miss Uinta County".

Since they won in their divisions some of their entry fee's for the State competition were paid for. However, when I went online to see what it would cost I just about killed over. It would be nearly $1,000.00 for both girls to compete in the state competition. So not happening! I do believe our pageant days are over!!

Wyatt was a pretty good boy waiting for his sisters to get done prancing around the stage. He filled up on goldfish and cuddled with Dad.

After the pageant we were loading kids in the car and discovered that our tire was totally flat. We weren't going anywhere!! Luckily Mandi and Justin helped us get it taken care of. Then they headed off to spend the night in Park City. We got to watch Sadie and Kinley for them. EVERYONE (well...excluding Glenn) was so excited to have a sleepover. Our first sleepover at our house! So much fun!!
