It's Been a Fun Week

Well Iguess I'm subsituting FUN for what something else, but I like to keep it clean here!

We spent the weekend at my parents house and had such a great time. We went to Ikea where we finally got to try their cafe. Yummy!! Then we got to spend the afternoon in the back yard playing in the kiddie pool and going down the slippin' slide. My camera decided it would be more comfortable in my purse inside the house so of course I have no pictures of our fun. I am hoping that my super fantastic sister, Mandi, will be willing to share the pictures she took! :)Please!!!

Sunday morning started off with a bang! Zoe decided to wake the house by throwing up in Grandma's room. That put a wrench in our plans for sure. We packed up and headed home before dinner since lots of people were coming over and we didn't want to get anyone else sick. We stopped a few times for Zoe, but we did eventually make it home.

She was still throwing up and had the runs all day Monday. She was a tired weepy ball on the couch all day. I was able to call a neighbor to take us to see the Doctor. She said it was most likely just a bug, but we need to keep an eye on her to look for signs of urinary tract infection. Poor kid!

Tuesday started out better, but soon went down hill. She ate some yogurt for breakfast which came back up soon after and then she broke out in a rash from head to toe. She was miserable. I didn't have the car this week so I wasn't able to get her back to the Dr. today. It did eventually clear up and she started feeling better. About 20 minutes before Glenn got home the rash broke out again...with a vengance! It was worse than before and she felt like she was on fire. Glenn took her to the ER to see what they would say. They thought she may have had strep in her kidneys. I had no idea that was even possible, but apparently it happens.

It was difficult to get a good shot of the rash, but you can see how red she is and her hands were actually purple. She was feeling much better today and it has been a vomit and diarrhea free day. Yippee!!

The Sleepover

On their way back home Glenn's parents decided to come down our way and stay the night. The kids loved it of course. We rarely get company so it's an extra special treat when someone stays over. They were excited to have Grandma and Grandpa, but I think they were even more excited about the sleeping arrangements. Zoe got to sleep on the pull out bed and Maggie got to use Glenn's new cot. Cool kid alert! (of course I forgot to get a picture of that awesomeness. Way to go Mom!)

Fun Weekend

We had a pretty fun weekend and I wanted to come home a get a post done right away. On our way home from Burley we got a call from Glenn's Mom saying that they found my camera. Poop! I guess the real post will have to wait a couple of days until I get my camera back.

Welcome home Shalis! We are so glad you had a good time on your mission and that you made it home safely.

Congratulations Shaina! That tiny little monkey of yours is adorable. We are so glad we got the chance to meet him!

Eli's Blessing Day

Congratulations Shaina and Chris on your new bundle of joy!Sunday evening we FINALLY got the chance to break out the four-wheeler! Happy happy joy joy!!Once again, Wyatt was the man in charge! He didn't want to get of the four-wheeler. He pretty much ran to it everytime it pulled in the driveway.
It was difficult to get a good shot of Zoe. She loves to go super fast and her hair would flip up around Glenn's neck. It was too funny, but hard to capture. At least you can tell how happy she is!

Swimming

From the moment the girls saw the pool at the hotel they wanted to jump in and never get out. They finally got their chance Saturday afternoon. Grandma and Grandpa Tomlinson came over to watch our little fish swim.

Fun in Burley

Glenn's sister, Lisha, who lives in Burley, Idaho had a very busy and full week. On Monday (July 5) her daughter, Shaina, blessed them with their first grandbaby. Welcome to the family sweet little Eli! On Tuesday (July 6)her oldest daughter, Shalis, returned home from her mission in the Phillipines. Welcome home Shalis!

Since Glenn's parents were coming up from Houston for all the fun we decided we should head on over as well. We were excited to see Shalis and hear about her mission and to meet our new nephew.

The girls were excited to be able to ride the 4 wheelers. They remembered how much fun they had on our last visit and could hardly wait to pull those babies out of the garage. We were surprised to find out that they had gotten a horse since we were there. His name is Taco. They named him that because if he's naughty they are going to make him into tacos. EEEW! I think so far he's safe from becoming Sunday dinner!

Maggie said she had fun riding Taco, but she only rode for a minute and was done...
Zoe was a pro! She loved every minute of it and wanted to keep riding...I think Wyatt loved it even more than Zoe did. I'm not sure if the tongue is a nervous thing or an excited thing. Either way it is too cute!Glenn just needed a Stetson hat and he could be in a western movie. John Wayne reincarnated?Wyatt was so anxious for Glenn to get back from his solo ride. It was just too fun to see him so excited about riding. This day was just way too much for Mr. Wy! He fell asleep in the car on our way to the hotel while chewing on his hat. Tired tired boy!!

OUCH!!

Wyatt is for sure ALL BOY! He is covered in bumps and bruises, loves cars, trucks and motorcycles.

His latest bump looks like it really hurts. Just looking at the pictures gives me a headache. Poor guy!

He has figured out how to open the drawers in the kitchen. He learned this trick a long time ago, but hasn't had a problem until today. I have some metal tubes that I bake bread in to make into shapes. He got one of these out of the drawer and was trying to put it back but caught the edge of the drawer with the bottom of the tube just at the moment he bent down. It jabbed him in the eyebrow and immediately swelled up and turned purple. OUCH!!

He cried for a while and then crashed with DadI don't think little boys understand how hard it is on Mom to have so many accidents!

Glasses

When we got done with the girls last eye appointment Zoe was so disappointed that she didn't get to chose glasses.

When we got home I found an old pair of Maggie's and took the lenses out of them. She has worn them everyday since. I hope she doesn't ever have to really have them and discover how obnoxious they truly are. For now she's happy with empty frames. That works for me!

She finally feels like she fits in the family! Glasses for everyone!
