For our anniversary Glenn took me to my favorite restaurant, Macaroni Grill. I had one of my favorite dishes Pasta Milano and Glenn had their Eggplant Parmesan. It was really nice to be able to speak to each other without having kids in between us screaming.

After dinner we went over to the Galleria Mall to look for watches. We both need new ones, but the ones we looked at were all way too expensive. Needless to say we left there empty handed.

When we left the Galleria we decided to go to Target. Glenn found me a cute heart necklace locket. The traditional 10 year anniversary gift is diamonds and the modern is tin. The necklace didn't have either, but I love it anyway. For our first anniversary he gave me a heart pendant and he wanted to update it and get me a new one. I love me man!

Our Gardening Endeavor

On Sunday (May 18th), Maggie and I decided to spend a few minutes planting some seeds. She loved it and was so excited to watch them grow. I was very nervous because I have not had much luck with gardening. She had lots of fun anyway!

Not even a week later and we had some growth.

These are my herbs. The only one that is growing is the basil.

Screaming Baby

I just sat down at the computer and Zoe decided she needs to wake up now. Of course the lawn mowers didn't help the nap happen.

Arizona Fleming Elementary Spring Carnival

Maggie had lots of fun at the school carnival. There were two different moon walks and she was just in heaven. It was a very small somewhat unorganized event, but since it was her first carnival she had a good time anyway.

Date problems

I am still having an issue with the dates on my posts. I'm not sure how to fix it. I guess it doesn't really matter it is just making me crazy. I want it to be right!

I may not get the perfect shot every time, but even the goofy ones show their personalities. I am loving the digital camera! I can hook it right up to the computer and blog them almost immediatley.

I'm a big girl!

A couple of weeks ago I took Zoe to the McDonald's by our house for lunch. When she was done with her chicken she was watching the other kids that were there and she wanted to get down. She immediately went over to the video game pole, but she was trying to play the one that is higher and she was getting frustrated that she couldn't reach the control. After I showed her the short one she just stood there and pushed the buttons for about 15 minutes. I think the game is broken so she wasn't actually making anything move on the screen, but she was very entertained and gave me a few minutes to update my planner for the week.
I think she's just too cute in her little jeans and target brand crocs.

Since Glenn accepted the calling as first counselor in the ward young men's program he has been gone a lot doing activities and scouting stuff. A few weeks ago he was part of youth conference that took place on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Before he left on Friday I asked him to hook up a projector that he borrowed from work so I could surprise Maggie with a "Girl's Night" by watching a movie on the wall. I set up the air mattress so we could have a sleepover in our TV room. She was soooooo excited and as you can see so was Zoe. We got to watch movies, eat rice krispies and sleep on the floor. SWEET!!

This picture show how into Zoe was because she absolutely hates being covered up by blankets, but she was really getting into the spirit of the sleepover and covering herself with Maggie's quilt. I just can't believe how cute these two little girls are. What have I done to deserve such huge blessings?

The Three Piggy Opera

Maggie's kindergarten put on the Three Piggy Opera for their play. She did such a good job. She kept her "opera pose" the whole time. I know she's pretty hard to see, but she is on the front row in the pink shirt between the two heads.

Princess Party

Maggie has been going to a reading tutor for a few weeks now and as an incentive to finish her level 1 readers Lauren told Maggie she would have a princess tea party when she could read them all without any help. She made it through all her readers, but Lauren had checked out a book from the library about Cinderella that she wanted Maggie to read before they did the tea party. It was quite a task! The book was much longer than the ones we have and it had more words on each page. She was not relly into the book and focused on the tea party so it took a very long time to get through the book. But she did it and they had fun.

Lauren had frog on the table for Maggie to kiss and see if it would turn into a prince. It was pretty cute.

She finally made it through the book and got to have princess cookies and brownies with milk. Thank you Lauren!

OUCH!

This is Zoe's first real injury. She fell outside on the concrete twice in the same day on the same knee. Then split it three times in the following days inside on the carpet. This was taken almost a week after the initial fall so it looks much better here then it did originally.

Messy Eater

Zoe loves McDonald's almost as much as Maggie does...

but it always has to have DIP!!
