Feeding a Toddler
Okay ya'll - I need some help figuring out what to feed Zoe. She is a better eater than Maggie and I feel very blessed for that, however, I am stuck in a rut and I need some ideas. I don't want to burn her out on Mac & Cheese and Chicken Noodle Soup. HELP! Any ideas will be appreciate.
OOPS!
Well I decided to change my background and in doing so I deleted a bunch of my fun stuff. Hopefully I can get them back on soon.

People keep telling me that Maggie and Zoe look so much alike, and I have just not seen it. I think they have some similar features, but the also have their own look. While I was looking through pictures I did start to see that they do look more alike than I thought. I put together some of their pictures at the same ages to compare. So here is yet another collage.
More Collages
I have been having so much fun with this photo program. I'm loving the collages...as you can tell.
This is Zoe with her Cousin Hannah that is just two months older than her. I think in the first group Zoe is not even a month old yet. They were taken in April of 2007. Then next group is of the two of them a year later.
We can't wait for our visit to Utah this summer so we can get pictures with our other cousins. Then I can do more collages with Zoe and Cooper!
A Trip to the BEACH!
After several years of praying EVERY night to be able to go to the beach, Maggie's prayers were finally answered. Glenn had a day off and the planets were finally aligned and we took off for Galveston! We rode the ferry from the mainland to Galveston island and then back before we played on the beach. It was VERY VERY windy on the ferry and the waves were crashing against the ferry splashing us so we didn't spend much of the ride outside of the car. Notice that we no longer have our cool "Little Red Bug" anymore, we now have the official ride of the "soccer Mom". At least I don't get stuck in the back trying to get a sleeping Zoe out of her car seat. That happened a couple of times with the bug. A two door car is not at all practical with a baby!
Glenn and Maggie got a jump on some sand castles while I hung out in the van with Zoe during her nap. Glenn had made a nice little castle that Maggie quickly turned into a volcano. Complete with a "sheshell" on top.
You might be a little confused by this picture...NO, Glenn is not a farmer! He has not gotten much sun since he started working in an office. The water was a little bit cold so Maggie didn't spend much time getting wet.
What's that noise?
Maggie, Zoe and I missed church today, because we all have some form of a cold. Glenn left to go to a meeting before church and then later I heard his parents leave. After a while I was hearing someone in the kitchen making LOTS of noise. It sounded like Glenn's mom putting dishes away. I had Zoe sleeping in my arms, but decided I better go see what was going on. When I got down to the kitchen Maggie was very diligently putting dished away. She was making sure everything was dry and leaving all the breakable items "neatly" stacked on the counter for me to put away later. She was very impressed with herself, as was I. Apparently she had told Grandma that she would do the dishes and she was making sure she kept her word. Somewhere along the way she realized that she could probably get something out of her hard work. She told me that since she was doing the dishes that she could earn a reward...like Chuck-E-Cheese or Maggie Moo's or maybe a double doozie cookie. She is no dummy! She knows how to work her parents!! I love my little con-artist.
Maggie is Improving!
Maggie can now read two of her level 1 books all by herself. Her tutor told her that when she can read two more books by herself she will throw her a Cinderella party. Complete with a visit from Cinderella herself!
Zoe is doing well with her sign language. She gets really excited when we acknowledge that she has signed something and we actually get what she is asking for. It's so fun to watch her face light up when she learns something new!

Maggie's Big Accomplishment
Today Maggie read (without any help) her first book! To celebrate her accomplishment we took her to Chuck-E-Cheese. On the way home we were discussing what other rewards she could earn by reading her other books. At one point she said "It made me feel really good to read it all by myself. I felt like I was getting older." I'm so proud of my little monkey. We still have a long way to go to get her caught up, but she is making progress everyday. Our first meeting with the tutor is tomorrow and she can hardly wait. I love watching her learn and grow and reach big milestones. I do miss my baby though! She's getting way too big, way too fast!
I love this!!
Thank you again Lindy for helping me improve my blog. I love the collage feature. Now I can get even more adorable pictures on here in one shot!
