I have been wanting to make some aprons for a long time now. I just never got to it. Then I decided to make one for Camille's birthday. I got a little crazy with it. I didn't have the right material so I ran to the fabric store. They didn't have what I wanted so I settled for the following... It turned out really cute, but not as cute as I wanted. Then I remembered that I had some material left from Zoe's cupcake skirt. I wasn't sure there would be enough, but there was!
So very cute!
While I was looking for the cupcake fabric I came across this black and white stick figure fabric. Since I had a ton of it I wanted to make a Mom-daughter-doll set of aprons. Unfortunately I only got the daughter one made before we went to Utah for Camille's birthday. So I had Maggie, Sadie and Zoe model the aprons for Camille and let her choose the one she wanted.(I just got the other two in this set done)
Which one did she choose?...
CUPCAKES!!

We also gave her a wooden spoon, rubber scrapper and a box of brownie mix. It was the gift that gave back. We got to enjoy the brownies while we were there!!

After she made her choice I let her know that there was more to the black and white one if she wanted to change her mind. I didn't want to tell her before in case I didn't get the others done before we left. She stuck with the cupcakes!

Happy Birthday, Camille!
(you can stop growing up now!!)

Someone in Park City is livin' the dream!!

Father's Day Photo Op

Mandi heard that Noodles & Co. was giving free dinners to Fathers so we all packed up and headed out. Not many people must have known about it because there were hardly any customers there. Of course we didn't mind that. Sometimes the fewer the merrier!!

So I had the bright idea of getting pictures of Dad with the Grandkids that were there. Some were a little more willing to cooperate than others.Finally...a good one!!

Mom, Dad, Maggie, Sadie, Zoe, Wyatt, Kinley

Happy Father's Day to all you Dad's!!

My Little Helper

This is Wyatt's idea of being helpful. Lounging on pillows and munching on a granola bar while I fold clothes and pack for our trip. Not exactly an equal division of responsibilities, but I'll let it slide since he's so dang cute!!

Dress Ups

Maggie decided it would be a good idea to put her knee and shoulder pads on Wyatt. Not sure what she was thinking he would be doing, but it was pretty funny. At least she hasn't dressed him up in a frilly dress and hair bows...yet!! I'm sure that day will come and I will just apologize now my little man. It's just part of having two older sisters!

Weather Watch 2010

While we were in Provo last week the news was reporting some flooding in the Salt Lake area. The temperture rose 10 degrees in just one day so it caused the remaining snow in the mountains to melt faster than usual. Then on top of that we have had rain for several days in a row. This is what the Bear River looks like now...
There are several "lakes" and "ponds" where there haven't been any before. The birds seem to be enjoying it...Fence lines are disappearing...Bear Lake State Park (a.k.a. the Bison park) had some damage as well. Trees are being swept away as well as sidewalks...

What a Messy Kid

Can you even see the kid in the mess?
Even though I would love to blame this mess on Wyatt, I cannot! I am the culprit. I was trying to clean and eliminate some of our stock pile of toys. Wyatt was in heaven. He hadn't seen most of these toys before. I am sure it won't be too much longer before he is able to scoot himself into the toy room and really be the one responsible for such a mess. I will enjoy every minute until that time comes!!
