So very tired
It has been a long and sleepless week.
We went to Mom and Dad's house on Friday.
Zoe started complaining that her tummy hurt.
Saturday:
She was a whiny mess all day.
Glenn picked apricots, Mom and I canned and jammed them.
Zoe whined and whined.
Wyatt was having some kind of problem.
He was a fussy fidgety mess all night.
Zoe was a whiny squirmy mess all night.
Just a bout the time Wyatt settled down (4:00am) Zoe started throwing up.
No sleep.
Sunday:
Zoe was still not doing well.
Glenn went home.
Monday:
One reason for our trip was to take the van to get the AC checked AGAIN.
Ran some errands with Mom.
Zoe did seem to be feeling better.
Van was done and the AC is great.
Took the kids to Mandi's for a "water" day. As we were pulling onto her street there were lots of dark clouds with lightning and thunder. We sent them out and about a minute later they were all back inside because it started raining. Luckily it only lasted a few short minutes. They were back outside, wet and happy!
Tuesday:
Tuesday she was back to her old self. CRAZY!
Mom and Dad went to Salt Lake Tuesday night.
Mandi and I tried to watch a movie, but the kids had other plans. They decided to fight, hit, bite, cry and whine so I took the girls to Mom's. Mandi got her kids down for the night and came over with the movie.
I didn't get to bed until 2:00 am (Wed morn).
Wednesday:
I got us packed up and headed home.
I got to attend a fun baby shower Wed evening. Good times with some fun ladies in our ward. Congratulations Ruth! We can't wait to meet your princess!!
When I got home Glenn informed me that Zoe had been laying around saying that she was cold and her tummy hurt.
I decided that since this had been going on for so long I better go get her checked out (more details later).
I didn't get to sleep until 1:00 am (Thu morn).
Thursday:
I had to make a follow up appointment with the pediatrician for Zoe and since Wyatt was still feeling pretty crappy I had them see him too.
Zoe is fine, just a little bug that's going around. Wyatt is alright too. He needs antibiotics and will be better soon.
Since I hadn't gotten much time to work on the house since being home I decided to stay up and work on laundry Thursday night. OKAY, the truth is I wanted to watch the Project Runway season premiere that didn't come on until 11:00. I did have every intention of working on the laundry while watching it, but Wyatt had other plans for me. Since he is so congested he has had a hard time sleeping. I finally got him back to sleep and got to work on the clothes. Didn't get to bed until 1:00.
I'M TIRED!!!

Non-Emergency ER Trip
Since Zoe has been complaining for so long about her tummy hurting I figured we needed to get her checked out. When I got home from the baby shower tonight Glenn informed me that she had been laying on the floor holding her tummy most of the night. I thought since she was in the midst of the pain I may as well take her to the hospital and see what they say.
She was a total trooper! They wanted a urine sample, but she had gone to the bathroom before we left the house so that wasn't happening. While we waited for her bladder to fill they came in and got a blood sample. I was fully expecting a monstrous howl, but not a single peep did I hear. She was awesome! She got to choose the color of tape they put on. Of course she chose purple! Since she did such a great job and was so brave the "blood lady" brought her back a super surprise. A cute little bear that she let Zoe put purple tape on. Too cute!
After the blood draw she started getting pretty tired.
She didn't last long on the bed. She wanted me to hold her and she fell asleep pretty quick. We waited for a VERY long time before they came back to try for a urine sample. I could NOT wake her up. She finally opened her eyes, but was so disoriented that she just cried and refused to use the potty. I was dreading what was going to happen next. They had to cath her. Poor baby!! It was the worst. She cried like I have never heard her cry before
Her urine came back clean. Her blood worked showed a slight elevation in white blood cells (I think). They figured she just had a little bug and she should be better soon. I certainly hope so. I don't like seeing my kids sick!

APRICOTS
I love apricots!
This year I decided to try and can some for the first time ever. Of course in years past I have helped Mom do a lot of canning, but this time it would be for me. As it turned out, once again, Mom did most of the work. Having to take time to tend to Wyatt and the girls left Mom in the kitchen by herself a few times. Sorry Mom, but thanks so much for all the help!
Zoe had to be part of the picking process...

I'm so excited to try it!
While Mom Gets to Work...
the kids get to play!
It looks a little cramped in this super tiny kiddie pool, but they still had fun. They were wet and laughing. Good times!! Well, Wyatt didn't think so. He loves to have baths, but for some reason the pool wasn't cutting it. He wanted out!
But then he decided to take a seat on Camille. It seemed to help. He kind of liked it! Zoe thought it was hilarious...

Reunion, Spray Park, Dinner, 4 Generation
Monday, July 19th
Glenn's Grandpa had a bad night so Sharon and Lisha decided he needed to go to the hospital. I don't know all the details of what happened, but they kept him there a couple of days. They missed their original flight back to Houston so they rescheduled to leave on Saturday, July 24.
Luckily for us their flight was super early so they came down to Salt Lake Friday evening. We decided to go visit with them for a while and then head down to Provo. We left pretty early and figured we had enough time to take the kids over to the Gateway Mall. They have a fun spray park and the kids had so much fun. Well, it took Zoe a while to get into it, but she did eventually have a good time.
Wyatt was so curious about what was going on...

Our big boy Wyatt is now sitting in high chairs. He likes his tongue! It seems to be sticking out all the time. His hair too! I love his fauxhawk!

Real Food
Well it's kind of real. I don't know that I would say baby food is real food, but we have to start somewhere.
We were invited to the Bowen's for dinner a few Sunday's ago. Lindsey went all out and made a great dinner. One of the side dishes was sweet potatoes. I decided to give Wyatt a taste and he was all over it!! He loved them! I figured I better start trying to get him more solids so we made a trip to Wal Mart. Of course I got some sweet potatoes. He didn't like them.

A few days later we tried rice cereal...

He liked it a little better than the potatoes, but still not so sure about it.
I just wanted him to stay little forever.
I didn't get my wish :(
