An Official Wave

Wyatt just started to really wave today. The look-at-you-with-a-huge-smile-and-wave wave. It was too cute! He also likes to point at things. I'm not sure yet what that means. Does he want what he's pointing at or is he just pointing something out?

I keep forgetting to write this down, but the other day I was teasing Wyatt and calling him little man or something and Zoe chimes in and tells me we should call him shadow man. What? Where in the world did she get that? She proceeded to call him shadow man for several days before she shared with me where she got that name. Apparently it's a character in the Princess and the Frog. So Wyatt now has one more nickname to add to his list.

I love my Shadow Man!!

School Picture Fall 2010

She made sure her hair did not get messed up before pictures. It was easier this year since her class got pictures done BEFORE recess.
A bang trim was overdue but she's pretty dang cute anyway!

Jolly Roger Obsession

Thank you Target for contributing to my Jolly Roger obsession...I don't like to wear slippers very often since my feet are always hot, but I couldn't resist these. I still can't figure out where this fascination with pirates came from, but I can't get enough! I never realized how fun Halloween decorations could be until I caught the pirate bug! Now all I need is money and we'd be decked out.

I finally finished Wyatt's pirate quilt...I hope he likes pirates too! I would love to have this cake for his birthday...but since I'm not all that talented it won't happen! (photo and inspiration courtesy of Wilton)

9 Months

I told myself a long time ago that I would not be one of those Mom's that got to her third kid and stopped taking pictures. I have turned into one. Wyatt is 9 months old and we don't have nearly as many pictures of him as we do the girls. SO, even though it was kind of chilly this weekend I decided to take the time and get some pictures of him. After we got some good shots at the Round House on the trains we headed over to Bear river. He must have been done with the smiles or he didn't like the venue. We couldn't get him to smile anymore.

After a few shots he was done and started trying to get away. He lunged forward and hit his face on the rock. He busted his lip and burst into tears. Poor guy! After we got him calmed down I decided to see if our neighbors would let us use their yard for a few shots. They agreed and we tried again to get a couple of smiles. He was done!9 month stats
21 pounds 8 ounces - 50th %
28 inches - 50th %

Wyatt,

We have loved every minute of your first nine months. Well...there were a few dicey moments the first week, but ever since has been a fun and exciting adventure. You are full of personality and love. You light up when you hear your sisters voices and get so excited when you see Zoe coming toward you. I get so many cute and slobbery kisses during the day I feel so loved and needed. Your smile is just so cute with your six tiny teeth, chubby cheeks and gorgeous sparkling blue eyes. I can only imagine the kind of mischief you will get away with in the next 18 years. You are my little buddy and I love having you with me. I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for letting you stay with us. I love you more than I ever thought I could.

With all the love in my heart,
Mom

What Is Clean

I try to keep our sliding glass door clean, but for some reason I just can't...
This is while I was cleaning. But, it happens several times a day. I give up on a clean window!

Baby's First Words

I'm sure that some of the proudest times in a Dad's life are when their kids start saying Dada. Wyatt has been saying that for a few weeks now. It's pretty cute and he says it all the time. No Mama yet.

I'm pretty sure that Glenn is not too proud about Wyatt's second word. Bubba! Glenn has protested me calling Wyatt Bubba, but for some reason it just comes out when I talk to him. So of course he now says it. It's pretty cute and Glenn keeps trying to get him to say Mama, but he won't. Sorry Glenn, but I think it's funny! How can I resist calling him Bubba?!

Busy Birthday Weekend

Friday, October 1st
Grandpa Earl Brown

Saturday, October 2nd

Ladd Brown
We only got to see Aunt Louise this weekend, but we hope Ladd had a great day too.
Grandpa Brown died about 6 weeks before I was born so I have never been able to wish him a happy birthday in person. I know we'll meet again on the other side and I will be able to give him lots of hugs, kisses and birthday wishes then!

Conference Weekend

"CAN I SCRUBBLE?"
Zoe helped Grandma make tacos before the priesthood session of conference Saturday night.
She got to "scrubble" the cheese.
Not sure what that means, but she was happy to do it!
SCRUBBLE, SCRUBBLE
Glenn called us when they were all done and I took the kids over to Arctic Circle to meet them for ice cream. Mandi and her girls met us there too. It was PACKED with men and boys in white shirts and ties, but we managed to find a table and enjoy some ice cream.

After the final session of conference on Sunday we were packing up to leave. The kids had other plans...The Grandkid train was rolling through the living room. Sadie was even equipped with a whistle!

Grandpa Brown with Wyatt and Hunter
Just so there's no confusion as to who is who...
Skinny one on the left is Hunter, old on in the middle is Grandpa, chunky on one the right is Wyatt!
