Another arrival

Kinley's arrival definetly trumps this news, but the check for our moving expenses to Wyoming was just delivered and signed for! Thank heaven. We can now finalize everything and get the heck out of Dodge!! There are just not enough words, or at least I don't know the right ones, to express how happy we are to have this opportunity to move onward, upward, and forward with our lives.

I haven't said much about the move because things just kept getting pushed back and rearranged. I didn't want to get too excited and then have it taken away. That seems to be our luck, but that has changed now. Things are actually coming together and we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. It has been a very long, and at times extremely dark tunnel, but it is coming to an end. A new beginning lays before us and we can see great possibilities in our future!

Maggie has been a little distraught because she just doesn't have a great concept of time. She keeps asking us if we are moving today...tomorrow...the next day? I finally told her last night that she would know when it was time for us to move when she saw a great big yellow moving van in our driveway. This morning she and Zoe were outside playing with the sidewalk chalk and I had locked the gate so Zoe couldn't escape. Maggie had finished her drawing and then decided that she was going to check and see if the "big orange truck" was here. She got a little upset with me for locking the gate since she can't get out of it either. I almost had a riot on my hands but she didn't fight me when I told her it wasn't here. I was expecting a huge throw yourself on the floor fit. Maybe my little demon is growing up after all!

Our "big orange truck" will be here on Thursday. We will get it all packed that day and then Bob and Sharon will leave in it Friday morning. We will leave Saturday morning in our soccer mom mobile (Glenn is so happy with that purchase). We are hoping that the weather is good enough that we can get to Evanston by Monday, Tuesday at the latest.

Exactly one week from today we will be saying goodbye to Texas...hopefully forever!

Cute Things Maggie Has Said Over the Years...

April 2, 2009 Maggie was watching the picture slideshow on the computer and saw the tree house under construction. "So Grandpa builded the tree house? So that's why it's perfect!"
September 16, 2004 Maggie got up to the table and said "Okay guys lets roll!" Then we sang some songs and after each one she clapped and said "good job everyone!" while she did thumbs up.
December 2006 Santa was going to be at Grandpa Tomlinson's work so we decided to take Maggie to see him. When she got done telling him what she wanted he gave her a gift and sent her on her way. She came over to me and said "I think that was my Grandpa. He was just helping Santa." She was right. It was Bob dressed as Santa.
March 5, 2009 Maggie has been looking at her baby pictures a lot lately. She came across the pictures of her first Christmas when she was sitting on Santa's lap crying. She said "I didn't even know Santa. Now I do."
March 1, 2006 Maggie had woken up in a pouty mood and it carried on throughout the day. She came into the computer room to find me and I asked her if she was done pouting. She put her face in her hands and as she pushed them up into her hair she said, "I just want to go to the moon!" I replied, "You're pouting because you want to go to the moon?" Maggie, "Yes." Me, "Well, I don't have a way to take you there." Maggie, "I need to build a rocket." Me, "Okay, you go build a rocket." Maggie, "but I don't have any wood." Me, "Oh!" Maggie, "But I have paint! I'll paint it blue and red and lellow!"
Sometime in 2006 She has watched Glenn work on my back several times and she liked to copy him. She would have my lay down on the floor and then try to do what Glenn does. When she was done she would ask me "does that make you feel much more better?"
February 26, 2006 We got home from church and I was having her change clothes and go potty. When she was done on the potty she leaned over it and started singing "I'm dreaming..." then turned her ear to the bowl to listen for an echo, "of the one I love..." turned her again to listen. Then looked at me and said "It's not working!" A few days later she tried it again. Only this time she was singing into her cup at dinner.
November 29, 2005 She was watching the pictures on the computer that we have set for our screen saver and she saw the one of her and Glenn in the Houston snow. She had a pacifier in her mouth in the picture and she said "I have a paci to keep my tooths warm".
January 5, 2006 We were visiting Mom and Dad and Mom was showing me an article in the newspaper about a baby. Maggie hears our conversation and says "It taks a while Mom. It takes a while to take a baby."
April 18, 2006 While on our way to Chuy's Restaurant to have lunch for Kristie's Birthday Maggie says "I want some music Mom. Hit it!" I turned on the radio and she said "I'm a star daner!?..."Mom, will I be a star of the stage?"
May 25, 2006 Stops playing for a minute to dig in her ear and says "I have a big whack in my ear!"
