Doodlebug Turned 5
I just want to stop time! Our spunky little Zoe has turned 5!!
She is so excited that she is FINALLY old enough to go to school. In her mind fall cannot get here quick enough.
Zoe,
You are such a joy & I love your sassitude, even though it is what gets you in trouble!!

Sad Boy
Wyatt didn't realize that Maggie had left for school this morning so when he noticed she was gone he got a little upset.
Wyatt: "Where's Mag?"
Me: "She went to school"
Wyatt: in his most sad, whiney and squeeky voice "I lu her!"
Me: "You lu her and miss her?"
Wyatt:"Yeah!"
Good news for him she has a short day today and should be home soon to give him a hug!!

Magic Cabinet
A Pretty Drive
This is the road Glenn takes every day to get to work. During the winter when it's super windy the snow drifts across the highway and creates a cool light fog effect on the road. If you're lucky enough to being driving this road at sunset the drifts have a warm glow that is absolutely beautiful! It's such a sight to see!!

Trimming the Tree
We all love our new tree and all the candy ornaments!
The kids had lots of fun putting the tree together. We had debated about even getting a tree this year, but I just couldn't stand the thought of not having any Christmas up at all. We will be spending Christmas at my parents and it just seemed like a lot of work for us to not even be here. Then it hit me that we don't have enough stuff to make it very much work at all. The tree and our stockings is all she wrote. It's worth the little bit of time we spent putting it together!

Our Growing Gratitude
I was watching "Good Things Utah" a couple of weeks ago and saw a segment with Theresa Collins. She was sharing her gratitude tree idea with the ladies on the show. I thought it was such a great idea and since she was so nice to put free downloads on her blog I decided to go ahead and give it a try.
A few days after seeing this show I was sitting in primary listening to our second counselor challenge the kids to write down something they were grateful for everyday and then thank Heavenly Father for it that night.
I decided to combine both these ideas and begin our gratitude tree. I hope that we will remember to do this every year and see how our kids grow and change over the years. Hopefully becoming more grateful with each year.
Thanks to Mom and Dad for letting me "borrow" some branches from their apricot tree!!
