Bear Lake

I decided that our lazy Sunday afternoon needed a pick me up so we packed the kids up and went for a drive.  We ended up at Bear Lake.  I've never been there and was very surprised at how beautiful it is.  The water is so clear and pretty.

Since we weren't prepared for water play we didn't actually stop at the lake.  I was pretty bummed and so were the kids, but we found a fun pizza place and had some dinner.  We drove around a few more minutes then grabbed us an ice cream snack & headed back home.  We had fun on our short impromptu road trip!

Snacking on Cheetos for an hour will give you some super orange and deliciously cheesy fingers!!

Movie Night

I've been wanting to have an outdoor movie night for quite a long time now & finally decided to just do it.  Unfortunetly I didn't get pictures.  I took one of Wyatt with the consession table, but didn't get anything else.  The kids and I were at the bowery all day setting up and having fun.  We rented a popcorn machine, had a kiddie pool, hula hoops, bubbles, glow sticks and lots of candy.

Since most of the people we invited were not able to make it because of girls camp and scout camp we decided to do another movie night just before school starts.  I'm looking forward to it.  We had so much fun.

Dentist

 I should have known better, but I scheduled dentist appointments for me and ALL the kids on the same day.  It was Wyatt's first visit and he was so excited.  All the nurses were so nice and helpful.  They made his first time in the dentist chair fun for him.

After Wyatt was done getting his cleaning the Dentist came in to look at his teeth and to chat with me.  Bad news!  He has four cavities in his front four teeth. sigh.  It will cost a fortune to do all they are recommending for him.  So for now we will get flouride treatments every 3-4 months and see if we can keep them from getting worse.  Then if we can keep them under control until he's a bit bigger he can just get fillings instead of doing root canals and caps.  Fingers crossed!! 

Of course when the dentist came in to check Wyatt, Zoe started talking to him and he kind of peeked in her mouth.  He asked her if she was a shark which got a squeel and a "no!".  I wasn't sure why he would ask her that, but then he pointed out that her new teeth were coming in behind her baby teeth.  I had not even noticed! I could tell she was talking a little bit different and she chewed differently too, but it never occured to me to look at her teeth.  I'm just such a good Mother!!  Her baby teeth are loose, but if they don't come out on their own soon we may have to get them pulled so her new ones can have room to straighten out.  Why didn't anyone tell me that kids would be so expensive?

We are so grateful for all the love and support we have already gotten from so many friends and loved ones.  Mandi is going above and beyond all expectations by putting this together for us.  We love our family & friends that continue to bless our lives!!

Doodlebug Turned 5

I just want to stop time! Our spunky little Zoe has turned 5!!
She is so excited that she is FINALLY old enough to go to school.  In her mind fall cannot get here quick enough.

Sad Boy

Wyatt didn't realize that Maggie had left for school this morning so when he noticed she was gone he got a little upset.

Wyatt: "Where's Mag?"
Me: "She went to school"
Wyatt: in his most sad, whiney and squeeky voice "I lu her!"
Me: "You lu her and miss her?"
Wyatt:"Yeah!"

Good news for him she has a short day today and should be home soon to give him a hug!!
