I've been sad lately that I haven't been able to get many pictures of Maggie since she's in school all the time. When she's home on the weekends we are usually busy and not doing anything fun so I don't get the camera out.

I noticed too that in my Activity Day pictures I have missed getting shots of Maggie working on her projects. Way to go Mom!

The school called me Thursday afternoon to tell me that Maggie was sick and needed to come home. Luckily for her I had the car that day and was able to run down and get her. So the one day that she is home and I have the opportunity to get some pictures this is what I get...
So needless to say she stayed home Friday. When she started throwing up and running a higher fever I figured I had better get her to the Doctor. Several people in our ward and in her class have had strep throat. Luckily the strep test was negative, but unfortunately the flu test was possitive. She has been running a fever, coughing and saying her throat hurts. We have been trying so hard to keep her away from everyone and make sure she covers her mouth, but the little man still got sick.

He started running a fever last night and has been a sad droopy looking little boy all day.

I hate seeing my kids so sick. They look so pathetic, but I can't do anything to help them. I hope it passes quickly and doesn't get the rest of us.

Sleep tight my little sickies!!

The Pinkest Baby Shower

When Lindsey told me she was expecting again I started planning her shower right away. No, I didn't know what it was for sure but I just had a feeling it was a girl. It HAD to be a girl! After having four boys she really needs a little girl in her house. So even though I didn't know for sure she was having a girl I was going ahead with the pinkest shower ever theme! Luckily I was right and she is having a girl!!

I loaded my pictures in the wrong order so we'll get through this post backwards. This is what was happening at home while I was at the shower...

Wyatt was getting into cabinets while Dad was playing on the computer. Glenn and Mike actually did a great job of watching the kids AND keeping them happy while playing games.

Here are the guests that were part of the shower...
Grandma Diana (Lindsey's Mom), Grandma Bowen (Lindsey's Mother-in-Law), Kara

Nicole, Annie, Gwen, Annie Carie, Melissa, Mardi, Jacie, Alyssa

Jacie, Alyssa, Lisa, Cathy
Guest of honor, Lindsey and her helper Addie

Decorations made by Annie Carie, Nicole, Ruth and Me

We all had such a great time and we are so anxious for little Leanna to get here. Lindsey has waited so long to have a princess to hold!

*I cannot figure out what is going on with this post! This is not the layout I wanted, but I can't change it.

Zoe's Announcement

She just informed me that she loves Justin Bieber and...Michael.

I didn't know Michael was a rock star, but apparently Zoe thinks he is!

Finally Done

I've been working on putting Lindsey's shower together since the day she told me she was pregnant. I went even more crazy when she found out she's having a girl. This is going to be the pinkest shower we've ever seen!

I put these onesies together to use as decoration as well as a gift. I'm not thrilled with either of them, but I do think they're cute. They turned out ok for a first attempt. My plan is to hang them on a clothesline with some burp rags and other onesies. I really hope it turns out cute.
I think I would shorten the black & white skirt a little bit and make the tutu fuller. I just hope they look better on the baby than they do on the hanger!

Fun Toy

I had vacuumed the house earlier in the day, but since Wyatt has gotten into eating goldfish I needed to get all the crushed fish out of the carpet again before bed. Glenn was helping out and discovered that the vacuum belt had broken. He made a run to Walmart to get a belt. He came home with a new vacuum. Apparently we can only get belts for that vacuum at Sears. We don't have one of those anywhere close to us so a new vacuum was better than waiting for the filth to pile up until we could get to Sears.

Wyatt was loving the new purchase...well the box anyway!
Hello, Mr. Naughty!

Us South Park Style

One of my Facebook friends had a link to this site where you can create your own South Park characters. It was kind of fun. I have never watched South Park, but the characters a cute. Zoe helped a little, but most of suggestions didn't make the final cut. She's a bit too silly for me!

How?

People may wonder how in the world anyone could get upset with this adorably innocent little face... To these people I just have to say: come visit us for an afternoon and listen to her scream at her siblings, ignore her mother and do this to the playroom... She is a loud destructive tornado! She can completely undo everything I do in nothing flat!
Zoe, you make me crazy, but I love you so much! You are a joy and a blessing and I can't imagine what my life would be without you in it. Your spunky sass is just too much and you make me laugh every day!

Dump Truck & Necklace Soup

Little Mister decided to completely unload my basket of dirty clothes onto the floor, sit in it and make a delicious soup in the back of his Tonka truck! He was really into his stirring. Too cute!Checking it's progress...It needs a stir...Oh yeah! Looking good...Zoe couldn't stand not being in the pictures... Two goofy monkeys sitting in a pile of laundry!

Baby, It's Cold INSIDE

We heard strong howling winds all night long. I was so afraid we would wake up to several feet of snow. We got just a light dusting of snow, but the wind was crazy! By the time Maggie left for the bus it was -24 degrees. I really wanted to keep her home instead of making her wait for the bus, but I have no way to get her to school. I'm assuming she made it safely. Very shortly after sending her off the temps dropped to -32. At least they will keep the kids inside at school today.

When I came back from a bathroom run I found Zoe climbing on the stool to get her hat and gloves. She was THAT cold even INSIDE with the heater running. She was so cold she even had to find her snow bootsShe was striking the cutest pose when out of no where she got whacked by a Dr. Pepper bottle. You gotta love little brothers!!
Even though Zoe tortures Wyatt constantly she really does LOVE this little man!And he adores his sisterWe have really loved watching the movie "How to Train Your Dragon" . When I found this hat in Wal Mart I couldn't resist buying it. It doesn't usually stay on very long, but he's so cute in it. Our little "Toothless"!He's not toothless at all. He is now sporting 12 teeth! If only he would use them to eat with. He just isn't very interested in food. His diet consists of pizza and goldfish. I try to get him to eat everything we eat, but he refuses and just throws it on the floor. We were really hoping he would be a good eater. Does this mean we have to try again?
