Just Relaxing

Apparently Zoe was still a little tired after her nap today. She grabbed her Teddy and curled up in the rocking chair to watch the Tinkerbell movie. I wish I could curl up in the chair like that! It looks so comfy.

Still Dropping

My Failed Attempt

OK, Mandi here is what I have found...

We can rent ATVs and check out the mountains and whatever else. Yeah, that doesn't appeal to me either.
NEXT...

We can drive around and check out some fun houses. OH, I've already done that. There aren't that many.

I thought this house was cute. I couldn't get very good pictures of it, but the barn in the back it kind of fun.
I really liked this one too. I didn't realize until today that it is for sale. I'm sure we couldn't afford it though.
We can hike around the little lake or up and down our little chunk of the Bear River.
Maybe if you come in January or February we could go ice skating on the river.
There is a cute playground with a fun dinosaur to ride! I guess you have enough of those in Provo.
I know you love the disc golf. Oh, wait that was Glenn.
They have a Lombard Street...
Unfortunately the sign is more crooked than the street. They also have a street with no name!
How about abandoned old buildings? Now that's exciting!
We could go to the fairgrounds and watch the rodeo's. However, I really don't think you're the cow pie type.
My last attempt...Historic Depot Square. You're not really into trains are you?

Even though I can't find anything "virtuous" about Evanston we would really like you to come visit anyway. We would enjoy having anyone visit. PLEASE!!

Sweet Time of Day!

It's dropped again!!

AND since I am now an Adventure Club Card holder I got my gas for $1.77. Thanks for the tip Dad!

This McDonald's Rocks!

No wonder Maggie wants to go to McDonald's everyday! It's a true cowgirls dream come true!!

A Bedtime Puzzle

Where do Mom and Dad fit?

Kinley Grace

We finally got to hold the newest member of our family! The girls were totally in love with her. It is always a challenge to get good pictures of babies and toddlers and especially when you get them together.

First Kinley was waving...

Then Zoe moved her head...

But then at last we got a good one, except for...

the nose picker in the background!

Maggie was excited to be able to give Kinley her bottle. She loved holding her and did a great job with her dinner!

Maggie's photography:

Our Final Destination...For Now

We arrived on November 4, 2008

Our apartment complex nestled snugly in the mountains

This is from the south side of our complex. There are horses, cows and sheep down there. This could get pretty stinky in the summer.

The following three pictures were taken on Maggie's first day of school. They are views from different rooms in our apartment. This was last Monday. The whole week was cloudy, gloomy and cold. We got Maggie all outfitted with new snow clothes for school and then this week has been beautiful and warm. She hasn't even needed a jacket.

Some Evanston sites...

This is the main street. The houses are old, small and really close together.
This house is also on the main street. I'm not really sure what it's all about. They must really like dinosaurs...a lot!

Our new chapel

Maggie's new school. I haven't gotten pictures of her new teacher yet, but she really likes her. Her name is Ms. Lambert. She is very nice and seems to really enjoy teaching the kids. Maggie is lucky to have been put in her class. We went early on Maggie's first day to meet her and she showed us her room and told us a little bit about what to expect. When I was getting ready to leave she said, "I need to give you a hug!" It was so nice. She made me cry. I told her that I was just nervous for Maggie and she said she knew just how I was feeling.

Evanston's "E" mountain

This is by far the most annoying part of Evanston. This is the speed limit through out the whole town. It only goes down from here. Just beyond the liquor store it goes up to 40, but we never go that way since there's nothing up there.

This was a very pretty sunset. Of course the picture doesn't quite capture it. The yellow's and orange's were very bright and beautiful.

Keep Dropping

$1.87 on November 16

$1.85 on November 17

$1.83 on November 18
What will tomorrow bring? I signed up for their club card so I get it even cheaper!

She Was Right

During a conversation I had with Mandi, before our move was final, I mentioned that everything was falling in to place with the move and it just seems like this is what we are supposed to do and where we are supposed to be. She said we'll feel that way until we get here and meet our drunken, porn-addicted, fireworks shooting neighbors. That's encouraging!

Well she was partly right. So far our neighbors have been very quiet and nice. We really don't see much of anyone, which is awesome! We live in a very quiet complex. Thank heaven!
However, there are several liquor stores, one porn shop and three or four firework shops. Here's the proof...
I guess we should feel lucky that there's only one.

They needed to make it easier to get.

For those that are too drunk to get out of their cars to walk into the store.

I don't see this as being a good combination, but whatever!

This is actually the view from Glenn's office.

This is the last one. There used to be a BlackCat store, but it is just an empty lot now. The building is gone. Maybe it blew up!

This liquor store is on the corner of our street. When we came home from Provo this last time Maggie kept asking how much longer and if we could see the light of the city. We kept telling her just a little bit longer. When we could finally see the light of the city we pointed them out to her and her reply was, "can you see the liqour store?" NICE. We know we're home when we can see the liquor store! Not exactly how I pictured "home", but for now it's the best we can do.

Thanks for the warning us Mandi!
